JOB SUMMARY

The Cashier at the Money Exchange counter is responsible for processing currency exchange transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves handling cash in multiple currencies, verifying authenticity, and delivering excellent customer service.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Receive customers and handle foreign currency exchange transactions in a timely and professional manner.

- Count, verify, and process different currencies accurately.

- Check and authenticate banknotes to prevent fraud and counterfeit activities.

- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and issue receipts.

- Ensure cash drawers are balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.

- Follow company policies on anti-money laundering (AML).

- Assist customers with inquiries regarding exchange rates, remittances, and other financial services.

- Report any suspicious transactions or discrepancies to the supervisor.

- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.

- Keep the counter area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

(Education, Qualification/Skills/Behaviours, and Related Experiences.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field is a plus.

- Previous experience as a cashier or teller in a money exchange, bank, or financial institution preferred.

- Strong numerical and calculation skills.

- Basic knowledge of foreign exchange rates and currencies.

- Good communication and customer service skills.

- Honest, reliable, and able to handle confidential financial information.

- Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism.
