Job Description:

ACCOUNTABILITIES  

Transaction Oversight 

Ensure all Cage transactions, including buy-ins, payouts, and exchanges, are properly documented, accurate, and  compliant with established procedures. 

Inventory Management 

Maintain control over all cash, chips, and valuables, particularly those stored in the Main and Reserve Safes.  

Ensure that accurate records are kept and inventories are up-to-date. 

 Security and Risk Management 

Safeguard all Cage assets, ensuring the security of cash and chips. Take preventive measures against theft, fraud,  or counterfeit currency and chips. 

Cash and Chip Authenticity 

Ensure that all cash and chips are genuine, maintaining strict controls to prevent the circulation of counterfeit or damaged assets. 

Float Management 

Monitor the Cage float, ensuring that there are adequate funds to support daily operations. Record adjustments  


  1. Staff Supervision and Development 

Lead and manage Cage staff, ensuring efficient work schedules, addressing staff complaints, and maintaining  

high levels of morale and performance. Train new employees and ensure staff are current on operational  

standards and compliance requirements. 

 

  1. Marker Collection and Follow-up: 

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the collection of outstanding markers (credit extended to players).  

Ensure timely collection in accordance with the casino’s policies and procedures. Work closely with the  

players to resolve any issues related to outstanding debts, and take appropriate action when necessary to ensure  

prompt payment and minimize financial risks to the casino. 

 

  1. Customer Service and Dispute Resolution 

Address and resolve customer complaints in collaboration with the Shift in Charge. Ensure that staff handle  

customer interactions professionally and in accordance with casino policies. 

 

  1. Operational Reviews 

Review and evaluate Cage operations regularly, making recommendations for improvements to enhance  

operational efficiency and security. 

 

  1. Feedback and Reporting 

Provide regular updates and reports to the Finance Manager, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all Cage  

activities. Ensure feedback from Finance is acted upon, particularly in areas requiring corrections or  

improvements. 

 

  1. Compliance with Company Policies 

Ensure that the Cage complies with all internal casino policies, including those relating to financial transactions,  

safety regulations, and anti-money laundering practices. 

 

  1. Confidentiality and Integrity 

Maintain strict confidentiality on matters concerning the Cage and its operations. Ensure that staff understand  

and adhere to confidentiality policies. 

 

  1. Daily Report Accuracy 

Review and ensure the accuracy of all daily Cage reports, including cash and chip reconciliations, foreign  

exchange transactions, and other related records. 

 

  1. Regulatory Compliance 

Ensure the Cage follows all applicable legal regulations, particularly those related to anti-money laundering  

(AML) and currency transaction reporting. 

 

  1. Safety and Risk Reporting 

Report any safety hazards, risks, or operational issues to management immediately and follow up on corrective  

actions. 

 

  1. Decision-Making and Dispute Resolution 

Act as the final decision-maker for day-to-day Cage operations, while escalating significant disagreements or  

issues to the Finance Director or higher management when necessary. 

 

  1. Collaboration with Other Departments 

Coordinate with other casino departments, including Security, HR, and Operations, to ensure smooth and  

compliant Cage functions.
