Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
A Domain Management Specialist is responsible for managing and protecting a company’s internet domains and ensuring all
domain-related systems run smoothly. This role is important for companies that rely on websites, emails, and online services.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
− Responsible for the registration, renewal, filing, resolution, and daily maintenance of the company’s domain names.
− Configure DNS records (A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.) to ensure the normal operation of websites, emails, and systems.
− Manage domain accounts and permissions across different registrars (such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, Alibaba Cloud, Cloudflare, etc.).
− Regularly check domain status to prevent expiration, resolution errors, or hijacking risks.
− Assist the IT team in connecting new projects with domain names, deploying SSL certificates, and configuring reverse proxies.
− Establish and maintain a domain asset inventory and management documentation, and regularly report on domain usage.
− Keep track of domestic and international domain-related policy changes and propose optimization and security management suggestions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Qualification/Skills/Behaviors, and Related Experiences.)
− Familiar with domain registration, DNS resolution, and basic Internet protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP).
− Proficient in common DNS service platforms (such as Cloudflare, DNSpod, Route53, etc.).
− Understanding of website deployment processes; basic Linux operation and Nginx/Apache reverse proxy experience is a plus.
− Possess basic information security awareness and the ability to identify and prevent domain-related security risks.
− Careful, responsible, with good documentation and communication skills.
− Computer science or related major preferred
