Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
A Furniture Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative furniture pieces that balance
functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability. This role involves creating detailed sketches, 3D models, and technical
drawings, selecting suitable materials and finishes, and collaborating with clients and production teams to ensure design
specifications are met.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Create original furniture concepts, sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings
- Design functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture pieces for residential or commercial use
- Collaborate with clients, product managers, and production teams to meet design specifications
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, and construction techniques based on project goals
- Use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) and rendering tools for visualizations
- Develop prototypes and oversee design testing and refinements
- Ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-efficient within production constraints
- Stay up to date on design trends, materials, and sustainability practices
- Prepare design presentations and documentation for client or internal review
JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or related field
- Proven experience in furniture or product design (portfolio required)
- Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong understanding of ergonomics, materials, joinery, and production methods
- Excellent creativity, visualization skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
