JOB SUMMARY: The Wood Pellet Factory Manager leads the setup and daily operations of a new wood pellet factory. This includes managing production, planning, team leadership, safety, and efficiency. The role focuses on converting leftover wood materials into wood pellets while building smooth systems and a strong production team in a new factory setup.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Factory Operation Management: Oversee overall wood pellet factory operations to ensure efficient, safe, and stable production output
- Production Planning & Control: Plan and manage production schedules to achieve production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines
- Raw Material Coordination: Coordinate with existing wood factories to ensure continuous raw material supply from leftover wood materials
- Factory Setup & Process Development: Lead factory setup activities including workflow, operational process, SOPs, policy implementation, and team structure development
- Team Supervision & Workforce Management: Supervise production teams and ensure smooth workflow, discipline, productivity, and workforce performance across all production stages
- Machine Maintenance Coordination: Monitor machine performance, coordinate preventive maintenance activities, and minimize production downtime
- Quality Control Management: Ensure product quality meets company standards and customer requirements
- Cost Control & Efficiency Improvement: Monitor operational costs and continuously improve production efficiency and productivity
- Safety & Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental standards, company policies, and labor regulations
- People Development & Training: Train, coach, and manage factory employees and supervisors to strengthen operational capability
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Having a Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or other advanced management qualification is an advantage
- 5–7 years of experience in factory operations or production management

Experience in the wood pellet, biomass, or manufacturing industry is preferred

Experience in factory setup, startup projects, or new production line implementation is an advantage

Experience working in a Chinese management environment is a plus
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Strong factory/production operation knowledge
- Good understanding of manufacturing workflow and process improvement
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and industrial safety
- Strong accountability and result orientation
