Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Truck Spare Parts Purchaser who is responsible for making sure a company always has the right truck parts and supplies available to keep vehicles in good condition and reduce downtime. Their role combines procurement, negotiation, and inventory management.

 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

-          Formulates daily vehicle dispatch plans, coordinates vehicle and driver resource, handles transportation exceptions and optimizes routes and efficiency.

-          Executes vehicle dispatching, monitors in-transit status, records transport tasks and routes, coordinates with drivers and on-site personnel, and reports transport information.

-          Transports goods according to dispatch arrangements, ensures safe driving and loading/unloading, and uploads delivery confirmations and transport records.

-          Responsible for vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspection management. establish vehicle records; monitors fuel consumption and vehicle conditions.

-          Source and purchase spare parts and accessories for trucks from local and international suppliers.

-          Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.

-          Replace or repair worn-out parts such as belts, hoses, brakes, suspensions, and transmissions.

-          Use diagnostic tools to identify faults and recommend appropriate solutions.

-          Collaborate with the parts department to order necessary components.  

         JOB REQUIREMENTS
         (Education, Qualification/Skills/Behavior, and Related Experiences)

-          High school diploma or technical/vocational certificate in automotive or logistics (preferred)

-          Knowledge of truck spare parts, brands, and suppliers

-          At least 2 years of experience in purchasing or auto parts industry

-          Basic knowledge of inventory and procurement systems

-          Vocational diploma or certificate in Automotive Technology or Mechanics

-          Ability to read technical manuals or part catalogues

-          Proven experience as a truck mechanic (2–5 years preferred)

-          Ability to read repair manuals and technical drawings

-          Hands-on experience with diagnostic equipment and tools

-          Ability to use diagnostic tools and mechanical
