JOB SUMMARY

 We are looking for a Security System Designer who is to designs the overall surveillance system layout, including camera locations, cabling and network topology.

 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

-          Assess the requirements and conduct site surveys to determine security needs.

-          Design security system layouts, including CCTV, access control, alarm systems, fire detection, and related technologies.

-          Prepare system drawings and schematics using CAD, Visio, or specialized design software.

-          Select appropriate equipment based on project needs.

-          Calculate cabling lengths, bandwidth requirements, power supply, and storage capacity.

-          Produce detailed bill of materials (BOM), specifications, and technical documentation.

-          Ensure system designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.

-          Provide technical support during project implementation, installation, and commissioning.

-          Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to evaluate new products and technologies.

-          Stay updated with the latest security system innovations and industry trends.

Typical components of a monitoring system

-          Front-end: Cameras (PTZ, bullet, IR, dome).  Video capture.

-          Network Transmission: Network cables (Cat5e / Cat6), PoE switch. Transmission + power.

-          Storage: NVR or DVR. Video recording.

-          Power: UPS, PoE injector, power adapter Stable power supply

-          Management Platform: Video management platform (e.g., Hikvision iVMS, Uniview platform). Real-time dispatch.

-          Display: Monitor / video wall,Real-time viewing

-          Accessories: Waterproof box, camera brackets, distribution box Installation support.

Commonly used design tools and standards:

-          +Category and Tool / Standard

-          CAD Drawing: AutoCAD (for security design drawings)

-          Location Analysis： Visio, Excel + images to analyze locations

-          3D Layout Tools：SketchUp, Revit (for building integration)

-          Standards：GA/T 75 – Code for Design of Security and Protection System Engineering

         JOB REQUIREMENTS
         (Education, Qualification/Skills/Behavior, and Related Experiences)

-          Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, IT, Security Systems, or a related field.

-          Proven experience in designing and implementing security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion, fire alarm, etc.).

-          Proficiency in CAD/Visio or other design tools for security system layout.

-          Strong knowledge of networking, cabling, and system integration.

-          Familiarity with leading security brands (Hikvision, etc.).

-          Good understanding of power supply systems (UPS, PoE, adapters).

-          Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

-          Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients and cross-functional teams.
