Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for Retail Store Manager who is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail store to ensure it runs efficiently, profitably, and provides excellent customer service. Here's a breakdown of what they typically do.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

-          Hire, train, and supervise employees (sales associates, cashiers, etc.)

-          Schedule staff shifts and manage time off

-          Motivate and coach employees to meet sales goals

-          Handle conflicts or disciplinary issues

-          Set and meet sales targets

-          Monitor and analyze sales performance

-          Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

-          Handle customer complaints and resolve issues

-          Order, receive, and manage stock levels

-          Coordinate with suppliers and vendors

-          Conduct stock takes (inventory counts) and prevent theft/loss

-          Ensure products are displayed properly

-          Organize store layout and product displays to boost sales

-          Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store

-          Monitor budgets and control costs

-          Handle cash, process transactions, and manage financial records

-          Prepare sales reports for upper management

-          Ensure the store complies with health, safety, and company policies

-          Keep staff trained on procedures and safety protocols     

 JOB REQUIREMENTS
 (Education, Qualification/Skills/Behavior, and Related Experiences)

-          Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.

-          3 years of experience in supermarket/ retail store operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

-          Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service.

-          Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

-          Experience working within mall environments is an advantage.
